Well this blog is called the Lyfe and Tymes of Camela Joyce, and I have been MIA for a spell!
Let me tell you I have so much to share you may get three post a day until I get it all out,lol. While I was away I became single, a grandmother,confused by religion,got people mad at me cause I don't wanna go to Wakanda!! Needless to say I have a lot to talk about and there is no time like the present!

Pieces of Me

Once of my favorite songs is Ledisi's "Pieces of Me". That song describes me to the T! It says so much about how I feel on a daily basis. I have learned how to cover my true feelings for the sake of others, and I am a master at laughing to keep from crying. I have a bad habit of compromising my own happiness for the sake of others. It's funny how I can be strong for everyone else but me. I'm too busy worried about hurting someone's feelings. I realize now I can't really help that because these things were instilled in me at a very young age. When someone said "aww she's so pretty", my aunt would say "no she aint"! Although I love her to the depths of my soul, she was mean as hell to me growing up. I will share that another day. Today I'm just preparing you for what's to come. I want a refund on all the free classes that gave out sub par information! If I tell you something, I am going to give you all the facts, good and bad!Remember in elementary school, 5th grade, they separated the girls and boys and had, "the talk". I was told that I would bleed once a month for a few days. That was lie number one! I bled for seven days!!! I was told that once I received this "gift", I should expect it every month until I'm in my fifties!!! WAIT WHAT?!?!?!?! Well first of all, Aunt Flo showed up one month before my thirteenth birthday. I was the last one in my group,lol. I got it and then I didn't get it.I had what was called a irregular period until I had my first child. The nicest thing I can say about my Auntie Flo is she was not painful. I couldn't wear white or go horseback riding like the commercial state, but I never had cramps. Well after years of rebellion I finally Auntie Flo under control. Well she decided to buck the system...

Happy New Year!!

I am truly amazed at how fast 2015 eased on out of here! It seems like six months ago we were saying, New Year, New Me. I'm just amazed at how I survived 2015! With the normal aches and pains I was doing pretty good, Then in April I had a "Man down " situation! I remember Staying up on a Wednesday night til 4a.m. I was cleaning, going through sweats and chills. Something kept saying don't stop moving. Later that day I went to a funeral with a friend and I kept it moving. By Saturday I was hurting like a son of a gun! Went to hospital got a test done and went home. The next day went back to the doctor and had emergency surgery that night! Doctor came in to tell me I was lucky to be alive. My appendix had exploded. He told me it had to be at least a week because of how they had to fish it out. Im amazed at how all my doctors tell me they have never seen a case like mine. Two days later I was undergoing another surgery. This one was to remove my spinal shunt. Seems l...
